About Me

First and foremost, I am a wife and a mother of two.  My son is 22 (almost 23) and my daughter is 15.  I have been married to the most wonderful man in the whole wide world for 7 years (July 18th).  I spend most of my time watching movies and reading books to improve my craft or to increase my knowledge of best practices.  I love to sing and dance but more than anything I love family time!

I am an instructional coach and a passionate teacher/leader. I had been teaching for 13 years and have been coaching for three.  I have taught 2nd and 4th grade, Computer, and 5th grade Math and Science but have also taught 4th and 5th grade ELAR and Social Studies.  My current position as an instructional coach is a learning experience, but it is also a stepping stone to my ultimate goal:  Principal!

I have an Ed.S. degree in Administrator Leadership, M.S. in Education, and a B.S. in Home Economics.  More than these degrees, my passion for student achievement is what drives me to continue to tread the murky waters of education.

I hope that my blog will be helpful to each person who reads it.  My goal is not to impress you, but to provide insight and enlightenment that will benefit your students as it has benefitted mine.  If I help just one person, the time and energy put into this blog will be well worth it!

God bless!
